An Interview with Jen Hickle

Who are your clients exactly?
My clients want to make a difference in the world. They are driven and determined and are hard workers. They aren’t whiners. They are juggling families, homes, and business. They have big dreams and want to do big things.

How are you different from other business coaches?
I don’t teach my clients what I just learned; I teach what I’ve mastered.
I started teaching piano lessons in my living room and grew it to a 7 figure music school with a team of over 25 and a student enrollment of 600 students. I know what it means to be at every stage of business and I bring empathy and understanding into all of my coaching.

I owned my music school for 25 years before I sold it to devote all my time to coaching. I’m not just starting out– I have coached hundreds of business owners since 2013.

I also bring my faith into everything I do, which is a huge benefit to my like-minded clients. My faith has always been an integral part of my life, and I always seek God before I make business decisions.

Many coaches and consultants have corporate experience and they seek to bring that to small business owners. The problem with that is the disconnect. Small businesses are very different from the corporate setting and after 20 years of experience growing my small business, I know I can relate to where my clients are because I’ve been there, too.

What’s your background?
I started my company (Rogers School of Music) when I was newly married and only 20 years old. While raising our four kids, I took my small side business to a million dollar company by implementing strategic systems at both home and in our company. I’ve won numerous business awards, both local and national, including a social media marketing award. I was nominated as Business Person of the Year by our Chamber of Commerce and voted for the Business Alumni award by North Central University.

I’ve written two books: Happy Kids, Growing Biz and Everything You Need to Know about Music Lessons, and I was a contributing author in Shine: Inspirational Stories of Choosing Success Over Adversity. All are available on Amazon.

As a homeschooling mom, I have studied learning styles, personalities, and how individuals are wired. This gives me an edge in my coaching so I can help my clients identify what they are really good at and build a business around it.

What type of personality do you work best with and what is expected of me?
My most successful clients are driven and self-motivated. They are determined to succeed, and they show up to get the work done. They love to learn and grow.

What type of professional is this program NOT going to work for?
People who are impatient or looking for a quick fix will not benefit. Just hiring a VA won’t magically transform your business– putting in the work of systems and communication does. If you are a habitual whiner or complainer or make excuses about everything, you won’t want to work with me. (I’m upbeat, positive, and a cheerleader; I won’t put up with whining.)

What results can I expect?
Your results will be determined by the time and effort you give to your assignments. The clients take action see results right away, which includes real, tangible business growth!

Yes, we accept all major credit cards. Discounts are offered for paying in full for your program, or we can set up a payment plan.

What packages do you offer?
Our programs are 6 months long. You will likely see results much sooner, but 6 months allows you to have support as you change and grow.
