On our cruise in December, there were moments where the ship was rocking quite a bit. It was hard to walk in a straight line. But the cruise ship workers were unphased. They stood tall, never affected by the wind and the waves. I asked them, "How do you do it?!? How do you handle all the movement??" They replied, "When the ship dances, we dance with it. Little tiny adjustments and we can keep our balance." I immediately thought of business. Running a 7-figure business might look "easy" on the outside. For the most part, Chris and I are calm and collected, even if the waves beneath our feet are rolling and the wind is blowing fierce. We've learned to dance with the waves. It's not that life gets easier. It's just that you get stronger. Every hard time you face in your life or your business is building up your muscles. You're gaining valuable tools. You're learning to dance with the waves. Every staff member that leaves, every client that complains, every contract that you lose.... it's teaching you what you need to learn. Every time you fall on your knees and cry out in prayer for God to come near is a chance to strengthen your faith and make you stronger than you were before. Life and business will never be perfect. It's not about perfection at all. It's about dealing with the hand you've been dealt. And dancing with the waves. Registration for our Never Alone Inner Circle Retreat is OPEN!
