Hello!
My name is Cristi Barkley and I am a Virtual Assistant. My background is in administration and I honestly love it! I’m the strange sort who doesn’t mind the repetition of document management keeping track of all the back-end stuff that keeps a business moving forward. I know I’m doing my job well when the business owner can focus on what they love, helping their customers! You see, that’s my role as well. YOU, the business owner is MY customer and I get as much of a thrill as you do when your customers are happy.
I am a homeschooling mama so I am all about the details. When my girls are learning a new concept it’s so important to make sure they have all the learning blocks in place so that they can have a good understanding of that concept. My oldest is now in high school so I am having to make sure I’ve adequately prepared her for the challenges she will be facing during the next 3 and a half years and then when she starts college. (She wants to study software engineering.) My youngest is in 5th grade and loves animals! She wants to be a trainer and groomer. I am directing her curriculum to be entrepreneur-focused and also behavioral and biological science.
My husband is a Navy Veteran. He served on many different ships including the USS Cole and he commissioned the USS Truman! (That means he was on the ship while it was being built and is an official Plank Owner!) We’ve been married for nearly 16 years and he has always been my biggest supporter! I learned so much as a Navy wife and now we are having to navigate the Department of Veterans Affairs, well, I’ve learned a lot about how to find the answers that we need!
