Gail Barnes
Virtual Solutions By GailBiography
Who is Gail Barnes? I am born and raised in Minnesota. In fact, I still live in the community that I grew up in which is located one hour north of Minneapolis. I’m the proud mom of three adult kids and a mother-in-law to a fantastic, blessing to our family son-in-law. My household is also home to the sweetest ever rescued Siamese named Simon and the ever-shedding, Golden Lab named Marley, who is technically my son’s dog.
When my kids were small, I had several hobbies that included: knitting, crocheting, cake decorating, gardening, sewing, rubber stamp card making, cross-stitching, scrapbooking, and photography. I no longer can stand having unfinished projects occupying my dining room table for days on end so I have narrowed my interests down to macro photography, cake decorating (for my kids birthdays), container gardening (I love having flowers on my deck), and an occasional small crochet project. I also enjoy cooking and entertaining. My favorite recipe to make is Spicy Coconut Shrimp with Mango Basil Salsa. So, so good! I’m not sure if I really have a favorite food, but I like anything that creates a flavor party.
Traveling is something I love to do, but I’m not sure that I have an absolute favorite, although I really do love Tennessee. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to travel to the Dominican and I could hardly breathe as I attempted to take in all of the beauty. However, that beauty was also tempered by the immense poverty and I found myself so grateful for all that I had. More recently, I traveled to Tennessee to photograph the solar eclipse that took place in August 2017. Natural events like the solar eclipse are so exciting to experience. Arizona has also become a recent favorite. I’m always amazed when I see God’s handiwork in such different ways.
Lastly, I’ll tell you about the Administrative Assistant side of me, I absolutely enjoy anything that has to do with creating and problem-solving, such as designing spreadsheets, documents, flyers, etc. I’m discovering that I’m most fulfilled when I know that I am helping individuals be more productive. Even though I don’t currently have experience with web design or other graphic-type projects, such as Facebook ads, I am excited to learn.
Now that you know more about me than you probably wanted to know, I look forward to learning from you and your team.
